Privacy Policy

Pocket Thoughtz ("we", "us", or "the app") is a mental performance training application. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how it is stored, and the choices you have about your data. By using the app or this website you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to operate the app and provide the features you use:

• Account information: name, email address, and a password hash.
• Profile information: age range, gender, demographic, goals, and "areas to improve" that you optionally enter during onboarding.
• Training activity: your scores and history from mental-training exercises (Box Breathing, Stroop, Grid, Memory tasks, etc.), saved mindsets, and journal entries you write in the Thought Book.
• Voice recordings (Ventometer): short audio clips you record locally. These are stored temporarily on our servers when you submit them for transcription or AI voice-perspective generation; they are deleted automatically after processing.
• Profile photo: if you choose to set one, the image is uploaded from your camera or photo library and stored in our object storage. You can remove it from the app at any time.
• Notifications: reminder notifications are scheduled and delivered locally on your device by the operating system. We do not collect remote push notification tokens, and we do not send notifications from our servers.
• Organization membership: if you join a corporate team using an organization code, we record your association with that organization so admins can see aggregate engagement.
• Payment information: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number; we only store your subscription status and a Stripe customer identifier.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and maintain your account and authenticate sign-in.
• To deliver the daily mindset, weekly coaching video, and Thought Book prompt to you.
• To track your training progress, streaks, and analytics inside the app.
• To send local reminder notifications at the times you have enabled.
• To process subscription payments through Stripe.
• To generate AI-assisted content you have explicitly requested (for example, voice perspectives in Ventometer).
• To respond to support requests you send us.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

3. Where Your Data Is Stored

Account, training, and journal data are stored in our own PostgreSQL database, hosted on Replit's infrastructure. Voice clips are held in temporary object storage and removed after processing. Stripe holds payment data in accordance with their own privacy policy.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your account data for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from inside the app: open the side menu, choose Delete Account, and confirm. This permanently removes your training history, recordings, journal entries, and profile from our database. The deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

To request manual deletion, or if you cannot access the in-app option, email us at the address below and we will complete the deletion within 30 days.

5. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent for processing. You can exercise the deletion right directly in the app; for any other request, contact us using the details below and we will respond within 30 days.

6. Children

Pocket Thoughtz is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Security

We use TLS for all network traffic, hash passwords, and rotate session credentials on login and password reset. While no system is perfectly secure, we apply industry-standard safeguards to protect your data.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be communicated through the app where possible.
